Music

Tim Stickelbrucks started his musical career in the 80s with an unusual school band project called Synplastic, surprising the Munich area with one of its first electro pop acts. He later landed an EBM club smash as BODY 11, fronted the electro-punk outfit Put Me On The Guestlist, and produced various commercial projects for the major label BMG, including co-writing with Giorgio Moroder.

In the 90s he composed under several monikers including Synon, Timstar, Clone, Schizo, Tec, Team Stereo and Formant — most of that material went unreleased at the time. At the height of techno, his track “(I Want) More Noise”, released as Circuit on the suck me plasma label, created an unreal counterpart to the club sound of the day. The same happened years later with “Back In Time”, originally released as ANT on Marlboro Music. In the 2000s most of his unreleased 90s work was made public as New Formants across digital music services.

His first official release in 1988, the EP “MIND” by BODY 11, was re-released as a coloured vinyl LP titled “YOUTH” in July 2013 through the Seattle-based label Medical Records. More BODY 11 releases are in the works.

At 3000Hz, the music production division of Neverest LA LLC, he has been the brain behind advertising songs for brands such as BMW, Disney, Lufthansa, WMF, Red Bull, Sport Scheck and Lascana.

Writing

Writing has always been an essential part of his professional life — covering pop culture as a journalist for the German magazines Prinz, Muenchner Stadtzeitung and WOM (World Of Music), as well as being responsible for the content of the German iTunes Essentials series.

His manifesto for a new creative era — Entertainment Rewired: How AI will empower the next generation of storytellers, musicians, and content creators — is available now as hardcover, paperback and ebook. He is also co-author of the reference book “Online Video Marketing”, covering internet developments in the changing media landscape, published in Germany in 2009, and a contributing author to the Red Dot award-winning magazine TWELVE, published yearly by the Serviceplan agency group.
